Mike Marty, CEOMike is a decorated United States Marine Corps Officer (prior Enlisted) who left active-duty service due to an injury just after 9/11. Following his Marine Corps service, Mike began a career in law enforcement that started with an assignment through the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office to the Northern California High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area office in San Francisco where his innovative investigative techniques and skills with emerging technologies enabled him to solve a cold case homicide out of Marin County that led to the arrest and extradition of the suspect from Germany back to the United States.
Returning to the Sheriff’s Office, Mike worked in numerous assignments within the office before leaving California in 2013 to work for the Nevada Division of Investigation, where he became the lead homicide detective for the State of Nevada. He was subsequently appointed as the Chief Investigator for the Douglas County (NV) District Attorney’s Office. In 2018, Mike was recruited by Tesla to lead a global investigations team for the business. His performance in that role led to numerous promotions and became a senior leader for global security within the company. Most recently, Mike was recruited to serve as Director of Global Security for an international corporation. Mike is a recognized expert in the fields of technology and homicide, major crime and cold case investigations. He has been a featured speaker on these topics at INTERPOL and at numerous law enforcement conferences. His work has been featured in national media. |
Jeffery Munks, COOIn the early 1970s, Jeff served as a criminal investigator for the United States Air Force on assignments in Spain and New Mexico. Following military service, his law enforcement career spanned fifteen years and included service with both small and large agencies in the San Francisco Bay Area. While working as a police officer in San Jose, Jeff and a colleague started the Language Line, a network-based service that made interpreters available to support first responders struggling to communicate with people who spoke little or no English. In 1989, Language Line was acquired by AT&T. Jeff was named Director of Marketing, Sales, Product Management and Communications for the company and helped lead it to 4,000% growth over the next five years, earning a Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award along the way.
In 1998, Jeff secured venture capital funding to start one of the world’s first eLearning companies. As CEO and Chairman of Arista Knowledge Systems, Jeff led the development of middleware that translated the differences between competing learning management systems. In July, 2000, Jeff sold Arista to DigitalThink, Inc. Following 9/11, Jeff was appointed by the United States Navy to help build FLAG University, a career-long executive development program for all Navy admirals. In 2011, Jeff began consulting for the Department of Defense and the United States Partnership for Peace Training and Education Center on assignments in Sweden and in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Jeff worked in higher education for a number of years, serving as Director of EduVenture Projects at California State University Monterey Bay and as an assistant dean at San Francisco State University. |
